Delete your Sharqey account
You can delete your account yourself at any time, from the web app or the mobile app. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
On the web
- Sign in at app.sharqey.com (or your organization's own Sharqey server).
- Open Settings from the sidebar.
- In Danger zone, choose Delete account, review what will happen, and type your email address to confirm.
In the mobile app
- Open Settings.
- Tap Delete account, review what will happen, and type your email address to confirm.
What gets deleted
- Your account and profile (email, name).
- Your sign-in methods: password, passkeys, Google/Apple/SSO links, two-factor authentication.
- Your encryption keys stored on the server, key backups and recovery requests, sessions and linked devices.
- Your private groups and the secrets in them.
- Organizations where you are the only member, with all their secrets.
- Invitations you sent that haven't been accepted yet.
What happens to organizations you share
Organizations with other members keep working without you. Secrets you created there belong to the organization and stay. If you are the only owner of an organization with other members, you need to make someone else an owner (or delete the organization) before you can delete your account. If an organization has an audit log turned on, its existing entries are kept and a final entry records that your account was deleted.
Before you confirm, Sharqey also warns you if you are the only person holding the key to a group others use, or a recovery approver for an organization.
Can't sign in?
Email [email protected] from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We'll confirm the request with you before deleting anything.
